SCHOLARSHIPS
Talokan Scholarship
Experience focused on living a month within the indigenous communities of the state of Puebla, in which you will get to know the essence of Mexico through its gastronomy, culture, traditions, and its beautiful people, as well as being surrounded by impressive nature. At the same time that you will share your knowledge focused on social good while living with young people from other countries.
During the 4 weeks, you will be able to carry out activities such as promotion of local products, construction of cultural spaces, permaculture, and educational workshops aimed at children and young people.
On the other hand, during this month the traditions and customs of the communities will be lived as wonderful festivities. You will learn from the community to make a delicious mole, tlayoyos, tamales, and among other exquisite dishes, as well as know all the rituals of the community.
Come and get involved in the essence of Mexico with a social, cultural, and educational impact!
A scholarship will be awarded to the best entrepreneurship that can be carried out focused on health, education, economy, or agriculture issues.
The bases are the following:
- Enroll and complete the educational program online.
- Present an enterprise that is applicable in the communities focused on health, education, economy or agriculture issues.
- Letter of reasons and updated CV.
- Interview.
- D1-month availability
- Age from 18 to 30 years
The scholarship includes:
- Lodging in cabins, near the community.
- 2 meals a day.
- Spanish or Nahuatl classes from Monday to Friday.
- Gastronomy and embroidery classes.
- 2 cultural tours.
Does not include:
- Airplane ticket.
- Transportation from the airport to the community.
- Medical expenses insurance.
- Personal expenses.
